PICTURES & NEWS

INCREDIBLES - COUTTS

Students documented what they had learned about a book they had been reading in class. As Ms. Coutts walked the students through the steps of filling in the document, she quizzed students on the meaning of uncommon words and the important lessons and themes of the book.  Link to 30 Pictures

VOYAGERS - BASHAW

Before tackling academic content in her classroom session, Ms. Bashaw took her 4th graders out for a quick exterior walk around the school building. This activity got some of the students’ "energy" out and readied them for effective classwork. This picture shows them lined up in their hallway and getting mentally pumped up for the cold conditions outside. 1-21-2021.

After the walk, Ms. Bashaw’s 4th Graders had a chance to learn something about the mechanics of the U.S. Government inspired by yesterday’s inauguration ceremony for President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. 1-21-2021. At the time these photos were taken they were learning about presidential term limits as well as the novelty of having a female vice president.  There were other classrooms around the school that took the opportunity to talk about government as well.

OPEN DOORS UPDATE

Acceptance emails will go out this week.

This Open Doors session starts January 25th-February 19th, Monday and Thursday - 2:30-4:00 pm.

8TH GRADER BABY PICTURES WANTED

The yearbook committee would like 8th graders to submit baby pictures for the yearbook. It is best if you submit digital copies of your pictures to Mr. Craib at mcraib@maplerun.org. If you need to bring in the original image for scanning, you can give it to your teacher who will pass it on to Mr. Craib. The picture will be scanned as soon as it is received and immediately returned safely to the student.
