PICTURES ADVENTURERS PRE-K - KOSKI Last week Ms. Koski’s students were photographed making self-portraits. Link to Pictures. They were in the beginning stages of their project. Here are their finished pictures. NAVIGATORS CHAIR PROJECT - RANKIN & LAWYER Ms. Rankin cut out a variety of vinyl stickers to be stuck to older kindergarten-sized chairs. 2-15-2021. With the help of several adults (including retired teacher, Sandy Scott), students pasted their names, penguin shapes, hearts and stars onto their chairs. At the end of the day, those chairs went home with the students. There was a lot of pride exhibited in their part of the chair project. Link to 38 Pictures. BASKETBALL AT SACS A substantial number of the 7th and 8th-grade students have been coming to school on their remote days for enrichment activities with the unified arts staff members. For most of these students, that has meant spending time in the large gym learning basketball skills, and recently, doing some small-scale scrimmaging among themselves. The experience is proving valuable for purposes of exercise and socialization. Students are eager to engage in familiar activities like these again. Link to pictures of them practicing skills. INCREDIBLES INDOOR RECESS - COUTTS AND MUIR These classrooms played games of pictionary since it was too cold to go outside for recess. It was a friendly but definitely competitive activity. Link to 5 Pictures. CLAY WORK - MARTINSON Here are some photo samples of the clay work done by the middle school students in recent weeks. The more orange-colored pieces have been “fired” and hardened in the school’s kiln. When photographed, they were either being returned to students for additional steps of work or being brought to the art room for firing. |

8TH GRADER BABY PICTURES WANTED We now have 25 out of 70 students who have submitted baby pictures. We are hoping for more since it is wonderful to see how students have grown as the years have passed by. It is best if you submit digital copies of your pictures to Mr. Craib at mcraib@maplerun.org. If you need to bring in the original image for scanning, you can give it to your teacher who will pass it on to Mr. Craib. The picture will be scanned as soon as it is received and immediately returned safely to the student. |
