NAVIGATORS BIRD FEEDERS

Ms. Laidman and Ms. Lawyer’s classes are learning about the types of birds that live around us. Ms. Laidman shared a video about birds that gave students a “birds-eye view” of some Vermont birds and familiarized them with their sounds. Then, each student made bird feeders from oranges and a yummy suet mixture. They made two feeders, one for home and the other for hanging outside their classroom windows for our school birds to enjoy! Link to 20 Pictures from Ms. Lawyer's group.

REMOTE LEARNING CONNECTION TIME WITH UNIFIED ARTS TEACHERS

Mr. Branon, Ms. Martinson, and Ms. Lamb were online with ⅞ students during a recent remote learning day and the three of them turned their screens upside down prior to the Zoom Meeting.  They pretended like they had no idea what the students were chatting and talking about.  Students kept taking screenshots and sending them to the teachers to prove that they were upside down. It was a good way of making a zoom meeting fun.

ADVENTURERS. SPACE DAY IN MS. KOSKI’S ROOM

The teachers in Ms. Koski’s Adventurers' classroom were very creative at helping their students imagine being in space. They had an ongoing live-video from the space station playing in the background while students rotated from one space-related element in the classroom to another. Students tried controlling a space rocket with various buttons and levers. They pretended to fly in a large cardboard box decorated as a rocket. They played with space toys or old walkie-talkies. They were definitely engaged. 3-16-2021
