Ms. Brooks shared some of the great artwork produced by her students in recent days. Link to 18 Pictures.

RENAISSANCE (PI) DAY PART TWO

The Mon/Tues group of 7th and 8th graders had a chance to test their memory skills by reciting as many digits of Pi as they could. First and second place in each grade earned a $5 gift card and each overall grade winner got to mash a cream pie into the faces of Mr. Jetter and Mr. Lovelette. Highlights from the culminating part of the event can be seen in the following video clip. Monday/Tuesday Group

TAIL TAG - WIGHT

In a time where you should not be touching each other in Physical Education classes, Ms. Wight has found an elegant solution for allowing kids to play tag. Students attach a long tail to a band around their waists. Small groups of four students chase each other and try to pull the tail off their peers by stepping on the tails. When a tail comes off that student waits in line for their turn to participate again while the person at the head of the line gets to head out into the tag game. Great fun had by all. This picture came from Investigators 2nd Grade.

RESILIENCY DAY

Monday, March 16th, was a day to recognize our resiliency in the face of a pandemic. We are still here. We are attending school in the best way we know how. We watched videos about this time period. We did our school work. We also found time to dance and party with popcorn.

Ms. Trainer and Ms. Beck-Bryant are shown below making over 500 bags of popcorn.
