IT FEELS LIKE SPRING

The sun was shining and temperatures were headed towards the 60s when these pictures were taken on Monday morning, 3-22-2021. Link to Google photo set of the pictures shown below.

DREAMERS’ PREK VISIT WITH THE QUEEN

Ms. Darcie, the STEAM Teacher for this group, facilitated a visit from the Queen. She came bearing gifts of gems, tea and biscuits (a type of small cookie). She showed student the rules of having formal tea and she took time to meet with each student to give them their gems and let them check out her royal scepter. The group was very excited to see her. 3-19-2021.  Link to 31 Pictures.

ADVENTURERS’ PREK VISIT WITH THE QUEEN

The Adventurers PreK group had tea with the Queen last Friday, 3-19-2021! The students enjoyed biscuits, a Hershey kiss, peppermint tea, and the Queen gave each child a royal gem! The Queen entered the classroom with a fanfare played by Mr. Kelly, one of the music teachers. After twirling with the children, the Queen taught the students how to drink from a teacup! What a special tea party! Link to 25 Pictures

ADVENTURES SOIL LAYERS PROJECT - FARRELL - QUINN

Ms. Quinn organized a lesson on the different layers of soil and rock on which plants grow. After explaining soil layers to the kindergarteners, she had them build their own “soil” layer system in a cup with foods that resemble rocks, clay, soil, humus, and green plants. Some of the pictures in the digital photo album show the students preparing the ingredients for their layering system, while others show them adding layers and then finally, tasting the end result. RENAISSANCE 8th GRADE ART - MARTINSON

This group of 8th graders finally had their chance to work with clay this year as they made pinch pots with Ms. Martinson. 3-18-2021.  Link to 8 Pictures.

MASKS FOR INSTRUMENTS

It has been a rough year for playing wind instruments. Until recently, students could only work with music teachers online from home if they wanted to learn or practice a wind instrument. Now, guidelines are shifting slightly and with great care, these instruments can be played at school (in well-ventilated and very socially distant settings). Instruments can be played through holes in masks used for the purpose and the instruments themselves have masks. Here are pictures of music teachers, Kelly and Cameron-Muscente with some of their instruments.
