ST. ALBANS CITY SCHOOL COVID UPDATE - FROM OUR PRINCIPAL March 9, 2021 Dear St. Albans City School Families, I have received information indicating that a member of our school community has tested positive for COVID 19. As part of our Health and Safety measures and in consultation with the Department of Health, we are having our students and staff in the affected class/es and other students and staff in the school who are considered a close contact move to a remote learning platform until all quarantining requirements have been met.
All staff and students who are involved have been notified via a phone call or direct conversation. If you have not been contacted you or your children are not a close contact and you do not need to quarantine at this time.
We encourage all staff, students, and families to follow all the necessary COVID guidelines (wearing masks, staying home when sick, physical distancing, and handwashing) and communicate with one of our nurses if you or your children might have symptoms or have tested positive with COVID-19.
