TRAVEL GUIDANCE

TESTING UPON RETURN

Unvaccinated Vermonters who have traveled outside the state must be tested within 3 days of returning to Vermont.

  • The test you get must be for a current infection (like a PCR test), except it cannot be an antigen test (also known as a rapid test).

  • Find free and fast testing near you.

  • You do not need to quarantine while you wait for a result. But if you have any symptoms, stay home and away from other people.

Vaccinated Vermonters do not need to get tested or quarantine.

People who had COVID-19 within the last 3 months and have recovered do not need to test or quarantine unless they develop new symptoms.

Rules for Vermonters who have traveled to other countries are different. Learn more.

TRIUMPH 4TH GRADE NUMBER LINE - MAILLET

The lesson about locating fractions on a number line was meant to take place outdoors using sidewalks and chalk. Due to a rainy day, flexibility was required and the lesson moved indoors onto the classroom floor. Desks we pushed aside so that students could use several number lines made with strings on the floor. Ms. Maillet had each student place fractions on one of the number lines. This gave them a chance to experience in-person where fractions fit in our understanding of numbers and specifically whole numbers. Ms. Maillet extended the lesson to the chalkboard where she used pie diagrams to further understand fractions relative to whole numbers.  Link to 29 Pictures

VOYAGERS EARTH DAY WATER TESTING - BASHAW

We collected samples and compared them. Then talked about what might make the water dirty or clean. 4-11-2021.  Link to 13 Pictures.

EARTH DAY CHALLENGE ACCEPTED BY STEAM STUDENTS - RANKIN

My kindergarten STEAM classes enjoyed the challenge from the older students to learn about Earth Day and then created art with a message.  After reading the book Take Care of the Earth Every Day by Gagne, kindergarteners in Ms. Lawyer and Mr. Barker's classes brainstormed ways that they can take care of our home-- the Earth.  We created message banners--and hope that these will inspire others to take care of the Earth too.  Students felt that it was important to recycle, not litter, take care of plants and animals, love the Earth. and acknowledge that it is our home.  Next students decorated coffee filters with blue and green markers to represent the Earth and sprayed water on them to blend the colors in magical swirls.  We hope you enjoy our inspirational art and are very thankful to the older students for encouraging us to learn about Earth Day. We all plan to get outside and enjoy the Earth next week to celebrate. Link to 19 Pictures.
