BAY PARK CAMP FISHING

Some overhead and ground level pictures were taken of the older campers fishing on Tuesday morning. It was overcast and calm which meant it was pleasant for fishing. Unfortunately, not many fish were biting. 7-20-2021.  Link to 14 Pictures.

SOME BAY CAMPERS RODE BIKES

Our trip from the Bay Park to Killkare and back. It was a fun ride.  Check out our activity on Strava showing a map of our route.

CAMP ARRIVAL FLEXIBILITY WAS REQUIRED ON TUESDAY MORNING

At almost exactly the time school buses were due to arrive with campers on Tuesday, the City began cold-planing the roadway leading to the bus loop. Buses had to offload kids at the large gym end of the building and families had to stick to offloading their offspring at the front end of the building. Campers got to where they needed to be in short order. 7-20-2021

Vehicles cold planing at 8:00 AM Tuesday morning.

Loader picking up the scap paving.

Campers entering the gym end of the bldg.

GARDENING AND CHICKENS CAMP

One of the camp leaders, Mr. Rouleau, is serving as the School’s farm-to-school coordinator. Therefore, it was appropriate for him to guide students through the weeding of the parking lot flower beds. Only the weeds needed removal. Ms. Pizzaro and two other adults were there to help supervise the work. The weeds were carried back to the composting area once they were done. 7-20-2021

DANCE CAMP - HARTMAN, JARVIS, DEMAG

This group of campers are developing a dance routine with their new dance skills (Link to 1-minute video) and are shown taking time for some fitness drumming (Link to 1-minute video).  Afterward, they went outside for a game of tag. 7-20-2021

BIKE ASSEMBLY

Facilities staff member, Mr. Pelkey, assembled a bike for the school and rode it to be sure it was in working order.

EXPLORERS - DEDIOS, MARCUS, BROWN, DIFRANCO

This group of campers played animal bingo towards the end of their camp day. They had great fun identifying animals and hoping they would win the game. Link to 9 Pictures. 7-20-2021

VIRTUAL ACADEMY CAMP - BACHAND, BOLGER, VAN GUILDER

This young group has been enjoying the chance to work together in person. We did paintings inspired by The Dot, and prepared to plant our herb gardens. We have a color theme each day, and write acrostics poems for each color. Link to 14 Pictures. 7-20-2021

TRAVELERS STEAM CAMP - CULLIGAN, LEWIS, MINCHIN, BESSETTE

These campers have been doing all kinds of exciting creative challenges.  Link to 50 Pictures shared by their instructors.

VOYAGERS CAMP - MITCHELL, WEISBURGH

One of the Voyagers’ group projects is the creation of movie boxes painted with their favorite movies in mind. Later in the camp they will watch some movies sitting in their boxes and enjoying some popcorn.  Link to 14 pictures. 7-20-2021
