PICTURES AND NEWS

WALKING WEDNESDAY RESULTS

173 students and 18 teachers and family members walked, biked and scootered to school on Wednesday, October 13th. That makes 191 people in total. Very impressive. The weather cooperated with clear skies, temperatures in the low 60s and mild breezes. Thank you to everyone that joined in. Link to 12 Pictures.

This Walking Wednesday a more complete tally was taken of 7th and 8th graders who walked & biked to school. There were 50 students altogether, and about half of them checked in at the big tent. We had no idea that this many older students were getting to school using their own power. Team Renaissance really excelled with 30 walkers & bikers. These active students are walking and biking to and from school on most days of the week.

IMAGINATION 1ST GRADE FACES - BACHAND

Ms. Bachand supplied paper for students to cut up and glue onto sheets of paper to make self portraits. Each child could pick the type of paper to use for eyes, mouths, ears, noses and hair. There was a lot of creativity occurring in the classroom for this project. Link to 24 Pictures.  10-13-2021

WALMART SCHOOL SUPPLY DONATION

On Tuesday, October 12th, the local Walmart store gave St. Albans City School a generous donation of school supplies: scissors, glue paper, etc. We appreciate the contribution.

IMAGINATION 2ND GRADE LITERACY SKILLS - JOHNSON

Students worked on improving their vocabulary, spelling and reading skills with Ms. Johnson. They did so as a class, in small groups and individually. Link to Pictures.   10-13-2021
