ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MONDAY, OCTOBER 4th

SURVEILLANCE TESTING

There have been some questions regarding how/when you will receive results from the COVID surveillance testing. Your results will come in an email from BINX sometime on Wednesday morning. BINX is the lab that is processing all the tests. Here is a response from the BINX help desk regarding questions about not receiving results:

If you are having trouble getting your results:

Check your spam folder. or go to this website: https://app.mybinxhealth.com/login, select forgot password and follow the reset password prompt emailed to them. This will gain them access to the account.

From there, an email will be sent each week once their test results are ready.

Also, if there is a positive result, the school will contact you.

If there are any questions feel free to contact testing coordinators, Kyle Ashton (kashton@maplerun.org) or Angie Fitzgerald (aftizgerald@maplerun.org) by email or phone (802)527-0565.

Thanks

SACS CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING RACE

CMS, Georgia, and SATEC coaches came with their runners to a race our school on Thursday, September 30th. Over 100 runners competed over the 3000 meter (just less than 2 miles) course. With the addition of their families as spectators, it was quite a festive event. The races when on in spite of some brief rain showers. Results are being shared by the coaches with their athletes. YOUTH RISK BEHAVIOR SURVEY (YRBS) Grades 6-8

Dear Caregivers:

Our school is taking part in the 2021 Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). This was developed in 1991 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is sponsored by the Vermont Department of Health and Agency of Education. The YRBS gathers information about health risk behaviors of 6th through 12th-grade students. Schools, communities, and state agencies will use the results of the survey to evaluate programs, plan new programs, and secure future funding. We will administer the survey to our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students on October 13, 2021, and October 14, 2021. If you would like to learn more about the survey or see a copy it is available to view here. If you do not want your child to participate in the survey, please complete the opt-out form and return it to Kristen Hersey in the School Counselor’s Office. Copies of the opt-out form were mailed home and are also available to download HERE. Forms must be returned by October 12, 2021.

To update, let us know by calling the school at 802-527-0565 and we will send you a new verification form. Please remember to sign the form so that we can make the change in our system.
