PICTURES AND NEWS

VETERANS DAY PARADE AND SPEECHES

At 10:30 AM on Thursday morning, the veterans day parade started from BFA. It proceeded down Mainstreet and then finished in Taylor park. Leaders from the veterans’ community, our city and town leaders, various religious leaders, students and staff from St. Albans City School (160 people), St. Albans Town Education Center (25 people), and Bellows Free Academy (perhaps 800) gathered around the Civil War Memorial for speeches. Senator Bernie Sanders attended and spoke. Ms. Mary Ellen Lamb’s daughter was a keynote speaker.

St. Albans City School students were prominent in the event, leading the pledge of allegiance, singing, speaking, helping to lay wreaths, and more. The veterans' community appreciated their substantial contribution to the day. Here are pictures from the veterans day event. Link to 85 Photos. Video clips will follow in the upcoming days.

It was a beautiful day and a successful event.

VETERANS CARDS

Yesterday, it was reported that Ms. Lawyer’s group had made cards for the veterans breakfast on November 10th. It was learned that Mrs Dupont’s, Ms Farrell’s, Ms. Brogle’s, and Ms. Borch’s classroom groups also made special cards for our Veterans. Thanks to all the students for their contribution to the recognition of our community’s veterans.
