Announcements 11-2-2021

UNEXPECTED ROAD-BLOCKAGE AND POWER OUTAGE

Green Mtn Power had to do some emergency work on Aldis St. Monday afternoon, 11-1-2021.  We were informed very close to dismissal time.  Because of this, we had increased police presence to help with traffic control. In addition, we did lose power after the students left for less than 30 minutes. Thanks for everyone's cooperation with this zig-zag today.

TRAVELERS 3RD GRADE - COX

Ms. Cox brought in piles of beautiful fall leaves and natural items for students to make creatures with. They pasted their selected items onto sheets of paper for display on one of their walls. Although it was the end of a long day, everyone seemed to have plenty of energy for crafting their colorful images. WETLANDS BACK IN TIME

Six years ago the wetlands area had low diversity of plants and little obvious water. It had been drained and cleared in years past. A wetlands grant to restore our wetlands to a healthy state changed that situation for the better. Ponds were dug, invasive plants removed and new plants added. The Voyagers played a big part in improving the wetlands by planting hundreds of native plants, shrubs, and trees. Check out these 38 cool photos from back in the day.

THE LITTLE (PreK/K) PLAYGROUND MAPLE TREE HAS REACHED PEAK COLOR

As we get ready to head into the long season of bare trees and short days it is worth marveling at the amazing colors of fall around us now.
