PICTURES

USA CADET TRAINING - KITTELL

A group of USA students has been engaged in daily marching drills supervised by Mr. Kittell. Their goal is to march well in the Veterans day parade coming up on Thursday, November 11th. A video of the group was made last week as they tested out marching with uniforms and covering a distance equal to the one they will march on Thursday. Link to 3-minute video.

NAVIGATORS PREK/K - EMMONS

The students were doing group and individual work when these pictures were taken. Link to 25 Photos.

DREAMERS PREK STEAM CLASS - BORST, DEDELL

This group of very active children enjoyed building with plastic cups and wooden paint sticks that Ms. Borst brought into the classroom. Link to 26 Pictures. 11-8-2021. Also here are 9 more photos shared by Ms. Burroughs who works in the classroom with Ms. DeDell.

TRAVELERS 2ND GRADE LEAF ART - CULLIGAN

Previously the Travelers 3rd graders were featured making animal leaf art projects. This time the work of Travelers 2nd graders is being featured in the announcements. Check these pictures out.  Link to 11 Photos.

SCHOOL SNACKS

For many years now our school has provided fresh fruits and vegetables for daily student snacks. Pears, apples, bananas, peas, beans, broccoli, and cauliflower are just some of the food items that students have experienced in recent years. Here are photos of two tasty-looking items, watermelon and grapes, packed on November 8th.

PLAYING WITH LADY BUGS

These three students were fascinated by the many ladybugs found on the sunny west side of the school building.

From Wikipedia: Coccinellidae is a widespread family of small beetles. The family is commonly known as ladybugs in North America

The majority of ladybug species are generally considered beneficial insects because many species prey on herbivorous hemipterans such as aphids or scale insects, which are agricultural pests.

Most coccinellids overwinter as adults, aggregating on the south sides of large objects such as trees or houses during the winter months, dispersing in response to increasing day length in the spring.

GAGA BALL REMAINS POPULAR - ESPECIALLY IN GOOD WEATHER
