TERRICEL TRANSIT DONATION

The cost of providing one bus to transport Operation Happiness donated food, and a separate bus to carry 8th graders to Highgate plaza last week, was donated by Terricel Transit. Thank you Terricel on behalf of the school and Operation Happiness.

VETERANS THANKED STUDENTS AND STAFF

On 12-13-21 Team USA had a surprise visit from the past commander of the American Legion (Mrs. Thibault) and the past commander of the VFW (Mr. Brown). They came to give “awards” to the speakers that spoke at the Veterans Day Ceremony, the cadets who marched in the parade, and the St. Albans City School chorus who sang. They also gave a big thank you to everyone who helped put the Veterans day ceremony together. The Veterans appreciate the time and effort students on Team USA put into honoring them. ADVENTURERS KINDERGARTEN MADE BUTTER - FARRELL

The children in Ms. Farrell’s classroom sat on their mat and passed around small mason jars half-filled with cream. The jars were shaken vigorously by students until butter separated in clumps from the liquid. Once the liquid was poured off, the butter was spread onto crackers for students to taste. A 6th-grade Discovery student found the most perfect equilateral triangle made of ice.

BOTTLE DRIVE TO SUPPORT HOMELESS PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY

The bottle drive this year will be on Saturday, December 18, 2021. We will be located at the front of the school from 11 am- 4 pm.

UPDATE: Donate bottles at the Beverage Mart at any time and tell the people that it is for Annabelle Peak's Bottle Drive.

Today our coding spotlight is on Flocabulary. This fun and interactive tool provides music to match up with coding concepts and themes. Our school has a subscription to Flocabulary, which also provides lesson plans to support coding activities. We like this robot lesson!
