MONTH OF CODE BOOKS

A collection of short illustrated poems describes various things that the imaginative young reader might fear or worry about, including a mummy, a pirate, and giant ants

In this picture book biography, young readers will learn all about Elizebeth Friedman (1892–1980), a brilliant American code breaker who smashed Nazi spy rings, took down gangsters, and created the CIA's first cryptology unit. Her story came to light when her secret papers were finally declassified in 2015.

Arthur wants to play Deep, Dark Sea on the computer every chance he gets. He's hooked! When his mother leaves for work and asks him not to touch the computer, Arthur can't resist the temptation. Disobedience leads to disaster when Arthur and his friend Buster both reach for the mouse -- and the computer screen goes blank! Will Arthur be able to fix the computer before his mom gets home from work? Once again Arthur, D.W., and friends lead us on a hilarious adventure kids won't want to miss.

This visual reference book is the perfect introduction to computer programming, with all you need to create single and multiplayer computer games, platformers, mazes, brainteasers, races, and much more.

The complexities of coding become clear and simple by following the numbered steps to build eight fantastic games using the Scratch programming language. Essential coding and computer science concepts are explained along the way as you build, test, and customize your new games.
