These industrial grade trikes are very popular with kids and adults. Check out the 34 pictures of Ms. Ross’ students. PHYSICAL EDUCATION TIME FOR STUDENTS OF BROGLE AND BORCH The students practiced skills that will help them play volleyball in the coming years. They used lightweight beach balls to make play slower and safer. Link video clip #1 1-minute long. Link to video clip 2 33-seconds long. MARCHING BAND PRACTICE Until this Monday, the band has had little chance to practice outdoors. There has been a lot of cold and wet weather. Finally, they got a chance to step out and play their instruments while doing some loops around the main parking lot. The band is preparing for participation in a parade later this month. BOOKS TO EXPLORE IN OUR SCHOOL LIBRARY Oh no! Beezer the Buzzard will be the sub while Mrs. Steele is away, and Kevin is going to be dead meat! When Mrs. Steele goes on an extended trip to Africa, Kevin knows he'll be stuck inside for every recess and have his desk moved to the front of the class. Mrs. Beezer just doesn't understand Kevin's problems with focusing and controlling his impulses. This charming chapter book takes a perceptive look at ADHD and the challenges it can present in school. On the first day of summer camp, Julia stands up for another camper with autism who is being bullied, and the two become friends. Matt’s autism doesn’t keep him from having fun! Even when he struggles in social situations, his friend is there to help him out. The two boys love playing sports watching movies, reading books, and talking about animals. By working together, a best friend’s understanding and compassion change Matt’s frustration into excitement. No matter where they go—from the basketball court to the playground swings to the neighborhood pool—the two friends enjoy spending time with each other. |
