PICTURES NAVIGATORS VISITED BY FIREMAN NATE - LAWYER All PreK & Kindergarten classrooms are being visited by Fireman Nate, just as he has done so in years past. The goal is to introduce our youngest children to what firemen and women do, what they have to wear to be safe and what equipment they use to fight fires. Equally important, is to explain to children what to do in case of a fire at home and how to react to firemen and women who would come to rescue them. Fireman Nate’s visit is a big deal to students of this age. To finish off the visit each student got a chance to drive the fire engine around the parking lot (just kidding), rather, they each got to sit in the driver’s seat of the fire engine. EXPLORERS 3RD GRADE READ ALOUD - LEVINE Ms. Levine has been reading beautiful picture books that were the winners of the Red Clover Book Award to various grades. OPEN DOORS - MONDAY ADVENTURES GROUP - MITCHELL Students in Ms. Mitchell’s afternoon group used wooden tongue depressors, pasta and Elmer’s glue to make little skeletons. Link to 8 Pictures. BFA INTERNS Each year students come to assist in our classrooms either as a way of doing community service or as a way to test out the idea of eventually becoming classroom teachers.
