PICTURES INVESTIGATORS 3RD GRADE ART - COSTANTINO Mr. Costantino had the students engaged in a project using watercolor paints early Monday morning, 11-28-2022. Link to 20 Pictures. TRIUMPH 4TH GRADE MATH - MAILLET Students were learning how to calculate and compare areas of squares and rectangles. This task was followed up with word problems that had to be analyzed and solved. Ms. Maillet was making sure they were comfortable with some fundamental math terms and procedures. Link to 19 Pictures. USA 8TH GRADE ART - MONTGOMERY Students took photocopied images and used rulers to make 1 inch grids over those images. Next, they took a much larger sheets of paper and lightly penciled a 2-inch grids on those sheets. The goal is to duplicate and scale up each square from the photocopied image to the larger sheet of paper. The should come up with a hand-drawn blown-up version of the photocopied image. TEAM USA 7TH GRADE BROOM BALL P.E. - JARVIS & ANDREWS Ms. Jarvis and Ms. Andrews introduced the students to broomball. They started with practicing basics passing the ball skills. Once these were mastered, the students moved on to playing games of keep away on the 4-square courts on each corner of the large gym. Link to 12 Pictures. |
CHEERLEADING AND BASKETBALL START DATES AND TIMES
There will be a parent/guardian meeting following the end of the first practice for each individual team. Only athletes with a 3:00 start time are allowed to stay after school. Athletes should be dropped off and picked up at the gym side entrance. Students with a 3:00 start time should report to the cafeteria at dismissal.

SKIING OPPORTUNITY FOR 6TH-8TH GRADERS Jay Peak Season’s Pass We will have a limited number of Jay Peak Season’s Passes for students in grades 6-8. These will be useful for families that ski. Discounted equipment rentals are available. Transportation to and from the mountain is not included. Yet, for students that will have access to use this pass, we want to make it available. Any student that would like to have access to a pass and feels they will be able to make use of it, please write a letter of request to Mr. Craib and explain how you are a Safe, Achieving, Caring member of our school community. Mr. Craib will create the list that goes to Jay Peak. The deadline for letters of request is December 9th. |

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA What is Wreaths Across America? It is a program where we honor deceased veterans by putting wreaths on their graves. Team USA is working with local Veterans groups to enhance the tradition throughout our community. Students will be holding a ceremony on December 16th at Mt Calvary Cemetery in St. Albans, VT.
