News From Band

On Saturday November 3rd, twelve students who play french horn, trumpet, and trombone from the City School and BFA Band, along with SACS Band Director Mr. Mehaffey attended a concert, clinic, and impromptu brass choir at the Elley Long Music Center at St. Michael's College in Colchester. They heard the Triton Brass Quintet, a professional quintet from Boston. Each of the members of the quintet, took students on their instruments for an hour of group instruction and took questions from the audience. Below is a clip from the brass choir.

The Raider Election Results

SACS students the opportunity to vote on Tuesday in the cafeteria. The results are in, and by a large margin, students chose to re-elect President Barack Obama.
