Heads Up
No School this Friday the 9th of October. It is a teacher In-Service day.
Band
Band lessons for week 6 are on, and beginning Jr. Band is reminded of lessons on Tuesday, and Jr. Band clarinets are on Wednesday.
Parent Portfolio Meeting
On Tuesday October 6th, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, there will be a parent meeting in the library. This meeting is for parents interested in working on a committee to help us think through some of the student portfolio components. Fox 44 TV News Visited to Learn about our Universal (Free) Meals Program
Our Assistant Principal, Georgie Andrews, and our Chef, Megan Levalley, were interviewed about the reasons we instituted a universal meals program and the impact it is having on our school. Kindergarten Learns about Seeds
Mr Lewis, Mrs Lawyer and Mrs Walsh had their students collect sunflower seeds, process sunflower seeds into a parsley pesto for taste tests, and use sunflower leaves and stalks for art work. Students were impressed that these tasty seeds could make such a large and useful plant.

Nursing Students at Our School
Each year nursing schools in Vermont send us students to assist with nursing tasks and to gain practical experience. This is a picture of two excellent current nursing students who were photographed here last week, Jonathon Claude and Ashley Hemenway.
