PICTURES AND REPORTS
The Impact of Cold Weather on St. Albans City School On very cold days some adjustments are made to normal school routines. For example, the students get unloaded at a location that does not let as much heat escape from the building. If students came through the cafeteria entrance as normal it would feel like the arctic while the students ate. Another example involves exercise. Normally most learning communities take students outside for recess so they can burn off some energy. When temperatures approach zero, most teachers keep their students indoors even though exercise is desperately needed. The situation is remedied by offering exercise routines in the classrooms created by GoNoodle. Overhead projectors provide the video students need to be entertained and led through exercise, stretching and calming routines. 1-9-2016
