PICTURES AND REPORTS

5th GRADE TRUMPET PERFORMANCE
On Tuesday (10-31-2017) a group of 5th grade students gave a great demonstration of their trumpet skills to parents and peers. Mr. Mehaffey supervised the concert. Afterwards he used the occasion to introduce visiting students to other wind instruments they might want to consider learning.

TRAVELERS (CDL FIELD TRIP)
This team took a walking field trip to the CDL business (Maple Syrup Farm Supply) in St. Albans. They wanted a chance to check out what a large St. Albans business is doing. The trip involved several miles of walking and a wonderful stop over at Houghton park for lunch and play. Check out the pictures below to get a sense of the trip.

RENAISSANCE
Each year students in Renaissance create "casino" games that lead to a deeper understanding of statistical probability. Students from other communities visit the casino and use casino "money" given to them at the door or earned through exercise in the casino room. The atmosphere on casino day this year, as always, was loud and happy. Games demonstrated considerable creativity and the students who made them took their learning experience seriously -while still having fun doing so.
