PICTURES AND REPORTS
BRAIN STATES SONG This video from Mr. Barker's Pre-K classroom does a great job highlighting the various brain states and how we can choose to respond to them. DREAMERS - HOW TO COOK A TURKEY Each year near Thanksgiving Mrs. Williams' students explain how their family prepares thanksgiving food. How to cook a turkey is often the focus, and some of the concepts young children have about that process are quite interesting. Check out their stories at THIS LINK. Here is a taste of what you will find there. We eat at Meme’s house. Mom buys a turkey at Walmart. It is 10 pounds and cost $6. Mom takes the turkey out of the bag and cleans it in the sink. She uses the spray nozzle. She puts the turkey on a plate and puts it in a hot oven-3 degrees- and cooks it for 2 hours. Mom pokes the turkey with a Q-tip to see if it is done. Dad cuts the turkey with a very sharp knife. We eat turkey, sausage, apples, carrots, macaroni and cheese, bread, and pizza. Meme bakes brownies and we have ice cream. Dad and Logan clean up. After we play puzzles. DREAMERS GETTING READY FOR THE SCHOOL MALL Mrs. Williams's students are shown cleaning cereal containers for their crayon-related School Mall product. Pictures kindly supplied by Mrs. Williams MORE PICTURES OF DREAMERS Go to THIS LINK to see pictures of Mrs. Williams' students engaged in physical activities. IMAGINATION FIGHTER PILOT VISIT Air Combat Captain Sturgis came to 2nd Grade Imagination on Wednesday (11-15-2017) in connection with last weekend's Veterans Day. He is an F-16 Fighter Pilot with the Green Mountain Boys in Burlington. Students got a chance to ask Captain Sturgis questions about the planes he flies and learn about how they work. There was a lot of focus and interest among students for what Captain Sturgis had to say. LINK TO 52 PICTURES
