EVENTS AND NOTICES

FORMS NEED TO BE RETURNED TO SCHOOL
Forms sent to families and guardians need to be filled in and returned as soon as possible: Health forms, permission forms, free and reduced meal forms. The school cannot function effectively without these sources of critical information. We need to know how to reach you, what health concerns exist and if we can share your student's pictures on the announcements. Also, you should know that our breakfasts, snacks and lunches are funded when we have full participation in the paperwork for free and reduced meals - regardless of family income. Please fill out and return that form for the benefit of all students. THANK YOU for your help.

SCHOOL PHONE SYSTEM
As you may have already discovered, St. Albans City School's new phone system is not operating flawlessly. Thank you for your patience as we work daily to overcome problems that crop up.

Be aware that only the main school number (802-527-0565) remains the same. All the other school numbers you may have called previously have changed. Please use the main number to connect with the person or group you need to reach. 802-527-0565

RENAISSANCE WANTS YOUR COMPOST!
The Renaissance Community is collecting compost from all classroom compost buckets. We will be using the compost to make nutrient-rich soil for our school gardens.

Where: The big buckets in the Renaissance hallway outside of A-16.

When: Any time during the school day.

How: Empty your compost buckets into the big buckets and take your compost buckets back with you.

What: Breakfast and snack compost except for dairy and meat products. We cannot accept compost that has any trash in it except for brown paper towels.

The Renaissance community and the environment thank you!

REPORTS AND PICTURES

THURSDAY WAS PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION DAY. 9-6-2018
Many family members attended the first short day of school with their children. While their young students were oriented to their new classrooms and teams, the adults were oriented to St. Albans City School and what they should know about school routines and expectations as parents and guardians. They learned about bussing, daily announcements, the need for accurate contact information, our arts programs and much more. Families are now prepared for the start of the 2018/2019 school year beginning today.
