MONDAY, OCTOBER 7th

PICTURES AND REPORTS TRIUMPH'S FIELD TRIP TO HARD'ACK Like Team Discovery the day before, Team Triumph walked over to Hard'ack for a break from their regular curriculum. Students got some exercise, had a nice time to socialize and enjoyed an opportunity to see some of the trails and natural sites of St. Albans. Temperatures were cold, so breaks were short and movement essential to keep comfortable. Many of the pictures came from the capture the flag game the team played halfway through the trip. LINK TO 104 PICTURES TEAM USA VISIT WITH A SOLAR POWER CONTRACTORThe Team USA Chicken Class met with Will King of the Alternative Energy Development Group on Friday morning to discuss some of the options for lighting and heating the chicken coop using solar power.  The students have written a grant to fund the project and Mr. King’s company will be providing some technical and financial support to make it all work. Meaning, you can and are expected to play both. Where the two differ is in the competition. Historically, Mini Metro has been a league designed to give our most competitive players a chance to play against equally competitive players from around the state. Having said that, we are holding tryouts for boys in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. All tryouts will be held at BFA St. Albans. Please make sure to stay at the gym for a few minutes at the beginning of the first night for more information. She remembers a time capsule being placed behind the 1968 stone during the school dedication ceremony. After some research, we did confirm there is something behind the 1968 stone. We will be removing the time capsule this fall. The contents will be revealed 50 years later during Unified Arts Night on February 20, 2020. Put the date on your calendar and join us for UA night and more 50th Birthday celebrations!
