Click on the links below to go to a Prezi on the topic of the week.  The counseling staff have made some excellent mental health videos that are relevant to specific age groups. What is a Prezi? It is a presentation tool that is used as an alternative to traditional slide making programs such as PowerPoint. Prezi makes use of one large canvas that allows the view to pan and zoom to various parts of the canvas where ideas are emphasized and presented, often in a video format. . EMBRYOLOGY NEWS SOME PEOPLE’S CHICKS ARE HATCHING A LITTLE EARLIER THAN THE SCHOOL’S Miss Meaghan LaChance’s is also raising chicks from eggs. Her chicks started hatching on Sunday! Here are a little video clip and a photo of the newly hatched chicks.  Only two chicks had hatched as of 11:30 am on Sunday.  She reported that there were many wiggling eggs and little cracks where other chicks were beginning the hatching process. MESSAGE FROM THE LIBRARY Since the in-school part of the year ended somewhat abruptly, we realize that students may still have library materials that they no longer need or have finished reading. If you wish to return them, we urge you to drop them by the school. If your student is ready to check out other books, the online catalog can be accessed here (https://sacslibrary.follettdestiny.com/common/welcome.jsp?context=saas20_4448088) or on the City School webpage under Family Resources. If you prefer, I am happy to help find resources and/or give recommendations of enjoyable literature. I’ve had the privilege to get to know most of our students, and so may be able to find some books particularly tailored to their taste.
