FANCY DANCE BUS TOUR

As a way of celebrating a Spring tradition (the annual Fancy Dance) and connecting members of our larger school family, a Fancy Dance Bus Tour of our community was organized. It took place on Friday, June 5th, and it involved over eighty teachers and staff riding in 10 decorated buses, one van, and one refrigerator truck. Multiple police cars helped control traffic. The tour lasted three hours with 25 stops to deliver chocolate-covered strawberries and provide an opportunity to dance for and with students. In spite of the heat, families waited patiently for the buses to arrive and celebrated when they did. It was a fun event for everyone. Thank you to the entire community for supporting this connection experience. We all miss the human contact we had with kids and each other before the advent of remote learning.

FROG FOUND

A Team USA student came across this from on a railing on her front porch on Friday evening.  It is called a gray tree frog and it turns out is common on the east coast of the US.  It is so neat how it blends in with the wood below it.

RETURNING LIBRARY BOOKS

Since the in-school part of the year ended somewhat abruptly, we realize that students may still have library materials that they no longer need or have finished reading. If you wish to return them, we urge you to drop them by the school.
