PICTURES FIRE DRILL It was the Green Group’s turn to practice a fire drill. Everyone filed outside quietly and efficiently on Friday afternoon. 9-18-2020 USA Writing skills were the focus of Ms. Vaughn’s lesson on Friday, 9-18-2020. Students were shown various pictures and then asked to describe them in detail. Students learned about using a thesaurus to aid the richness of their writing and while doing that they were reminded of what synonyms are. USA The goal of Mr. Rouleau's class was to teach students how to think about asking and assessing testable questions. He had his students pick out variables that could used for scientific inquiry. Mr. Rouleau introduced manipulated and responding health variables for dogs as examples. The students were asked to ponder what would happen if the amount of food provided or the number or extent of dog walks given were different? Would those manipulated variables affect body weight or the amount of sleep needed?
USA Students explored personality assessment software under the guidance of Mr. Kittell. It was a very unfamiliar topic to the students. There turned out to be a lot of vocabulary words that needed defining in order to complete the assessments successfully. 9-17-2020 Link to 7 Pictures VOYAGERS AND TRIUMPH ART Ms. Haberman shared another batch of pictures, this time from Voyagers and Triumph. She taught in these Green-Group classrooms and photographed her students at work. Link to 9 Pictures. INVESTIGATORS GREEN GROUP This group of Ms. Fitzgerald’s Green-Group-students were photographed at recess. 9-17-2020 TRICYCLE TRAIN This group of young students had spontaneously formed a tricycle train and were doing rapid loops around the sidewalk in front of the building when photographed. MONARCH BUTTERFLY RELEASED Ms. Dupont and Ms. Lawyer launched the butterfly that had hatched in Ms. Dupont’s classroom on Thursday. 9-18-2020. TRIUMPH BICYCLE INSTRUCTION A Green-Group set of students from Team Triumph gathered with Ms. Jarvis at the gymnasium-end of the building to pick up their bicycles for their class. These pictures were taken of them revving around before being given the go-ahead to ride out to the gravel exercise path around the property. 9-17-2020. |
