PICTURES TWINS Remember the twin pictures from last year? Well here is the first one provided to us this school year. Mrs. Murphy and one of the Discovery students were definitely “twinning” from top to bottom on Monday! Bonus points for their Raider Pride Blue & White! Submitted by Ms. Brown. NAVIGATORS PreK - EMMONS Our group is learning about farms. Today we milked a cow that Miss Tara made. 11-2-2020. Her name is Daisy. We learned all about Daisy and what her utters are used for. Then we practiced milking Daisy with Farmer Danielle. The kids loved it. :) Miss Tara Link to 11 Pictures RENAISSANCE LITERATURE - ALLEN This group of green-group students analyzed the book, Refugee, with guidance from Mr. Allen. 10-30-2020. They learned about geography, history and human behavior through the stories of the three main characters at different points in the last century. Link to 18 Pictures RENAISSANCE STUDY OF GOVERNMENT - LOVELETTE AND JETTER 7th and 8th graders learned about the different branches of government with Mr. Lovelette and Mr. Jetter. The two teachers took turns leading the discussion from across the large room. The sliding partition between the classroom spaces had been opened for the dual instruction period. The discussion was particularly relevant as we approach election day on November 3rd. Link to 13 Pictures EXPLORERS VOLLEY(BALLOON)BALL - WIGHT Ms. Wight led Ms. Dedios’ students through a PE lesson in basic volleyball skills. The indoor lesson was necessitated by the cold weather outside. 10-29-2020. Link to 8 Pictures. DREAMERS PRE-K - LEBLANC This group was well distanced from each other as they sat down to happily eat their meals on Friday. 10-30-2020. Link to 18 Pictures. |

YEARBOOK COVER ART WANTED Hello 8th Graders and other artists. The yearbook committee is starting to put together the 2021 yearbook and we are asking for your help. A cover design for the yearbook is needed by Friday, November 10th. If you have creative ideas and original artwork to share with us, then let us know right away. We want the blue and white school colors to be used for the artwork. The back cover should also use the school colors. There should be room on the front cover somewhere for a title and date, and on the back there should be room for a quote. We welcome inspiring quotes even if you don’t want to submit artwork. These are cover samples from recent yearbooks. Yours submission may look completely different. Thank you for the help and if you have any questions, or are looking to submit cover art or a quote, then please contact Molly Clark at mlclark@maplerun.org or Mr. Craib at mcraib@maplerun.org |
