CARE PACKAGES TO SOLDIERS FROM ST. ALBANS CITY SCHOOL There are currently over 1,000 Vermont Army and Air Guard soldiers deployed around the world, performing various missions from Africa to Europe. Please help us in showing them support by giving a little hello from home by adding some items for care packages we will be sending in the next couple of weeks. THE LAST DAY OF COLLECTION IS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9TH. Bins are located at the front of the school and will be collected by Team USA daily. Below are some of the items that soldiers have mentioned would be greatly appreciated:
Sometimes, a kind word of support and appreciation, a poem, or even a sketch or drawing mean just as much to a soldier far from home. We will also be collecting letters -- both to service members or their families – to show support and let them know we are thinking about them in these trying times. For the younger kids – soldiers love pictures and drawings – so please take a couple minutes to brighten the day for someone who is far from home. This will be an ongoing project so please keep the items and letters coming early and often. Any questions can be sent to Team USA Thank You |
