PICTURES INVESTIGATORS  PE - WIGHT Ms. Wight has a genius tag game for covid times. Students wear a strap around their waists. These have a long tail velcroed onto the strap. Students chase each other trying to step on other peoples “tails” while keeping their own away from others. If they lose a tail, they have to step aside and wait for a signal from Ms. Wight to head back in. The delay is short but long enough to give students a breather before more chasing ensues. SOCCER BOYS 5TH AND 6TH GRADE GAME Ms. Brooks and Mr. Farnham-Haskell shared a few pictures of the 5th and 6th boys soccer game at SACS on Friday, September 10th.  Link to 34 Pictures. Send to mcraib@maplerun.org ADVENTURERS - USING THE PLAYGROUND FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR 9-13-2021 TEAM USA ANNOUNCES A VFW SPONSORED WRITING CONTEST VFW Patriotic Writing Contest for 6th, 7th, & 8th Graders:   How Can I Be a Good American? Deadline:  October 31 Prize:  $5000   Conducted nationwide, this VFW-sponsored youth essay competition gives students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on an annual patriotic theme. We invite you to join the more than 138,000 students who participated last year in this contest. The national winners will receive at least $500. Educational Support Personnel Jobs Open at St. Albans City School If you love working with kids and need a job with benefits during school hours (7:25am to 2:55pm) then please consider applying to join the staff at St. Albans City School. We have openings for people who are good at collaborating with team members and who enjoy children. An ability to support students in feeling that they belong and are held accountable is what we are looking for in our staff.
