MORNING MEETING AND PLANNING - BORCH

Ms. Borch carefully laid out the schedule for the day. Students helped her read the plan for the day. Shortly thereafter they paired off in fun ritual that prepared them to focus on their learning. Link to 25 second video. Then, they each opened their computers, put on their headphones and settled in on learning that was specific to their individual abilities. DREAMERS KINDERGARTEN SNACK TIME - BROGLE

Ms. Darcie supervised the classroom group while they ate their fruit snacks. They watched and listened to two illustrated childrens’ books about frogs while they ate. The books were interesting and captured all the students’ focus. Link to 20 Pictures. 4-28-2022

GREEN UP DAY



Green Up Day trash bags will be handed out at 8:30 on Saturday, May 7th at the following locations.

WALKING WEDNESDAYS


In May, we will hold Walking Wednesday events every week. We will start on May 4th and we invite you join us. Family members are welcome to be a part of any walking school bus. See the map below for times to meet one of seven walking school buses.  Mayor Tim Smith will be joining us and will be on the route that starts at Fiddlehead Dental on Messenger Street at 6:50am. He will start walking from the senior center on Messenger street at 7:00am.

It’s that time of year!  The Vermont Golden Dome Book Award (formerly the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award) was created to honor excellence in children's literature. Each year since 1957, Vermont students in grades four through eight have selected their favorite book from a list of nominees. If students had read at least FIVE of the year's nominated titles please vote for their favorite using the google form link. https://forms.gle/6UUtpiH9C1oHZtF87 The deadline for voting is May 6th, 2022.  When the winner is announced we will celebrate with a gathering and discussion of this year’s books.
