PICTURES VETERANS BREAKFAST - TEAM USA Each year at St. Albans City School, the students and staff at Team USA organize a breakfast for veterans the day before Veterans Day. Here are pictures taken of the gathering of veterans that attended this year along with a group of Ms. Lawyers kindergarten students. The veterans stayed for hours and had time to talk among themselves and with the USA students. Some veterans became aware of St. Albans City School for the first time through this event. Superintendent Bill Kimball was present at the beginning of the breakfast to greet the participants and organizers. Link to 21 Pictures. IMAGINATION 3RD GRADE BATTLE BOTS - RANKIN & BORST These students had been building and practicing their robot driving skills for weeks prior to the battlebot competition. Ms. Borst and Ms. Rankin set up defined area for the rockin battle bots to take each other on. Students got to try and knock over other’s bots or to dislodge their little drivers. There were at least six battle bots on the field at one time and the students were very excited about the challenge. It was loud in the library in a positive way. 11-10-2022. Link to 7 Pictures.
