NOTICE TO 5th, 6th & 7th GRADERS ABOUT CROSS COUNTRY SKIING DURING P.E.

Skiing lessons will begin on January 23rd if we still have enough snow on the soccer fields to do so. To join in, you will need to have a parent/guardian complete an informed consent form that will go to the P.E. instructors, Ms. Jarvis and Ms. Andrews.

If the form has been misplaced, here is the link to the digital pdf. version of the consent form or the on-line version of the form can be filled in.  This P.E. unit is a fantastic opportunity to get free experience cross country skiing - an excellent winter activity in Vermont.

BOOKS IN THE LIBRARY

Have you set a goal for yourself in the new year?  January is a great time to make a resolution and this month we will be highlighting books in our library that focus on goal setting and growth.

She shoots. She Scores. Enter the world of this exciting and fast paced sport. Get in on the action as you read Girls' Soccer. You'll have that ball in the back of the net in no time!

Rosie Revere dreamed of becoming a great engineer. Where some people see rubbish, Rosie sees inspiration. Alone in her room at night, shy Rosie constructs great inventions from odds and ends. Hot dog dispensers, helium pants, python-repelling cheese hats: Rosie’s gizmos would astound—if she ever let anyone see them.

Afraid of failure, she hides them away under her bed. Until a fateful visit from her great-great-aunt Rose (AKA Rosie the Riveter!), who shows her that the first flop isn’t something to fear—it’s something to celebrate. And you can only truly fail, if you quit.
