What is a Prezi? It is a presentation tool that is used as an alternative to traditional slide making programs such as PowerPoint. Prezi makes use of one large canvas that allows the view to pan and zoom to various parts of the canvas where ideas are emphasized and presented.

SACS EMBRYOLOGY UPDATE

The chick eggs were set Friday for the final four days. During this final phase before hatching, the humidity is increased in the incubator and the eggs are no longer turned.  The eggs began hatching late Monday and into Tuesday.  Mr. Rouleau will have a camera on them live through a Google Meet address linked here.

ZOOM FAMILY MEETING REPORT
Principal Cavallo led a zoom meeting for families of St. Albans City School students on Tuesday evening 5-19-2020. During the meeting, she shared findings from a recently conducted survey of SACS families about distance learning. The slide show from that meeting summarizes the content of what was learned and is shared as a PDF document here.

MESSAGE FROM THE LIBRARY

Since the in-school part of the year ended somewhat abruptly, we realize that students may still have library materials that they no longer need or have finished reading. If you wish to return them, we urge you to drop them by the school.

If your student is ready to check out other books, the online catalog can be accessed here (https://sacslibrary.follettdestiny.com/common/welcome.jsp?context=saas20_4448088) or on the City School webpage under Family Resources. If you prefer, I am happy to help find resources and/or give recommendations of enjoyable literature. I’ve had the privilege to get to know most of our students, and so may be able to find some books particularly tailored to their taste. At any rate, feel free to contact me anytime by email at swade@maplerun.org and we will prepare your order for pickup!
