ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, MAY 7th

STUDENT PLACEMENT INPUT FORMS

On Tuesday we mailed placement input forms to families of students in kindergarten going into first grade, third grade going into fourth grade, and sixth grade going into seventh grade. We included a stamped self-addressed envelope so that it will be convenient for families to get them back to us. We are hoping to have them back by Monday the 11th.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

If your child is planning to attend St. Albans City School this Fall, then please sign up using THIS REGISTRATION LINK.

If you are wondering what it is like to attend kindergarten from a child’s perspective, you can check out this 2 ½ minute video. LINK TO VIDEO. It has lots of pictures of kids doing stuff in our kindergarten.

SACS ON-LINE LEARNING SURVEY

Dear St. Albans City School Families,

This link (Click Here)  will take you to a short survey where you can tell us how things are going in your home, and how we might be able to better support your family.  The survey will be open until Friday, May 8th.

Thank you for taking some time to give us feedback.

EMBRYOLOGY IN THE ANNOUNCEMENTS #2

This is a nice overview video of embryology instruction at St. Albans City School.

UVM Extension partners with SACS for its annual Embryology project and Across the Fence (their news show) came in the Spring of 2015 to document student learning at our school. It is fun to see so many of our current students in the video. They have grown up a lot in the intervening years.

VIRTUAL STRINGS CONCERT - ORPHEUS IN THE UNDERWORLD

Hello Everyone,

After our String Festival was canceled, I asked students from around the district to send in recordings of themselves playing their parts so we could create a virtual concert. I am so thankful to all the students and families that overcame the musical and technical challenges in order to make this happen!

Take care, District Music teacher - Alex "Rusty" Charpentier

The video is short and amazing!!!
